The catalog
Services → Add Service → From the Catalog… lists the apps MiniControl can install, with a search field. Every one is also on the apps pages, where Install in MiniControl opens the catalog at that app. The whole catalog is part of Free.
Each one shows its web address, what it installs, where its data lives, and the exact script it runs. Install shows progress as it goes:
- Homebrew installs the app.
- A LaunchAgent keeps it running and listening on your network. Its logs go to
~/services/<id>/log. - MiniControl waits until it answers, then adds it to your panel.
An app that’s already running on the server shows as On this Mac and is added without reinstalling.
Catalog services get Update and Uninstall… in their settings. Uninstalling keeps the app’s data unless you choose Uninstall and Delete Data. With the server’s firewall on, Allow Through Firewall… lets the app’s connections in.
Apps that only ship as Docker images, like Immich or Paperless-ngx, aren’t in the catalog yet. Missing an app? Request an App… at the end of the list writes us an email.
