Actions

Actions are the panel’s buttons. Add them in Settings → (server) → Actions.

  • A command runs on the server. If it fails, its last error line shows under the row.
  • A launchd job starts a job and tracks it: whether it’s running, its last exit code, and its last success from its log file. Set how old a run may get, and a late run raises a problem and notifies you.
  • Ask first makes the action ask inline before it runs.

Restart… restarts the server and waits until it’s back with every service up. It needs a one-time setup, which allows exactly /sbin/shutdown -r now without a password and nothing else. Settings → (server) → Actions → Set Up… does it in Terminal.
